Tyrone / Ty
Tyrone was asked in 2015 by the Policy, Strategy & Partnerships team at Merton Council to build the New Merton LGBT+ Forum as the previous one had closed down in 2013.
The new LGBT+ forum aims to support the LGBT+ community and strengthen our partnerships with the local authorities and service providers in Merton.
Tyrone was previously the chairman and founder of the Sutton LGBT Forum, in the past has worked for Stonewall, been a member of London Pride's CAB board and was a Director and Treasurer of GMFA.
When not working 24/7 in his spare time he loves gadgets/IT and Computers, loves to be with close friends and family, is a keen movie fan and has recently retaken up the piano. Look out Elton !
Patrick started his working career with 20 years in the Royal Navy as a professional seaman officer before leaving to work in the HIV/AIDS and then hospitality sectors. He spent several years as manager of a central London gay bar and restaurant, following this with time as a marketing director in the broadcast industry and then in a variety of roles in the charity sector. More recently, he has worked as Peter Tatchell’s general manager and as a professional charity fundraiser. Patrick has also been volunteering for over 25 years, mainly at a senior level. He co-led the successful ‘Gays in the Military’ campaign in the 90’s; was a director (and vice chair) of GMFA for 6 years and has been a director for London LGBT+ Community Pride (responsible for Community Engagement) since 2012.
Robin works for a charity helping vulnerable children. He also attends Sutton Vineyard Church where, amongst other things, he runs courses to show how people can build bridges with the LGBT community. He also helps out with Sutton Foodbank.
Robin looks after all finance and funding matters for the board.
